Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter was an American actor who was famous in the film Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. She won several awards including an Oscar for the film Piano. She started her career as an actress on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. It has always been her obsession. In the fifth grade she portrayed Helen Keller in an original play. She was born deaf in the one ear due to the mumps virus, however she did not let this disability dampen her desire to be an actress. She was a drama major at the college before moving between Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her goals. Hunter was trapped in the lift of playwright Beth Henley when she met her. Together they created Broadway Crimes of the Heart that marked the debut of Hunter on Broadway. After she was settled in Los Angeles, she began to search for film roles. She landed one in the role of an actress playing the main character in Swing Shift. She has since appeared in a number of movies, television shows and films over the course of a 30 year career. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame celebrity and has been awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
