Holly Hunter was an American actress who became famous in the film Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The film Piano has won several awards for her which included an Oscar. At a young age, the accomplished actress began playing on stage for several Broadway or Off-Broadway shows. From her early years, she has been passionate in the field of acting. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school play. In the fifth grade, after having mumps she lost her hearing in her left ear. However, she did not allow that to stop her. In her teens She studied acting and then moved in New York City. After a casual encounter, she got stuck in an elevator with writer Beth Henley and the two joined forces to create the play 'The Broadway Crimes of the Heart that became Hunter's debut. When she moved from Los Angeles she tried to get film roles and bagged the role of a co-star for the role of a supporting character in Swing Shift. Since then she has appeared in numerous films and shows and TV films throughout a span of more than 30 years. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame celebrity and has been awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
